This guide explains how to create, configure, and manage an email campaign in SenderWiz.
Follow each step to build and execute your email campaigns effectively.
Campaign Name: Choose a descriptive name for your campaign. Example: Weekly Digest Subscribers.
List: Choose the mailing list to which the campaign will be sent. Lists are crucial for targeting the right audience.
Send Group: (Optional) Send Groups help prevent duplicate emails when sending campaigns to multiple lists by ensuring each contact receives the email only once.
Segment: (Optional) Select a specific segment within your list to further refine your audience.
Once you've filled in these fields, click Save and Next to proceed.
From Name: Set the name that will appear in the recipient's inbox as the sender of the email.
From Email: Specify the email address that will be used as the sender. You can rotate the From email address if required.
Reply-To Email: (Optional) If the Reply-To email is the same as your From email, you can leave this field blank. Otherwise, provide a different email address where you want replies to be sent.
Subject Line: Craft an engaging subject line by using dynamic content. You can toggle available tags to personalize your subject with variables like the recipient's name, for example: "How are you, [FNAME] [LNAME]?".
Rotation Options: (Optional) Enable rotation for From Name, From Email, and Subject to randomize these fields for each recipient, enhancing personalization.
Open Tracking: Enable tracking to monitor if recipients open your emails.
URL Tracking: Track whether recipients clicked links within your email.
Open track from URL: In case open tracking is disabled, or the open tracking pixel cannot be loaded, we can try to record the open when one of the links inside the campaign is clicked. This only works if URL tracking is enabled. We only track unique opens this way, one open per subscriber.
Open/URL excl. Crawlers: This feature allows you to exclude crawlers, bots, and proxies from affecting your open/click rate metrics. By activating this option, only opens/clicks by actual subscribers are tracked, which mean your open/click rates will be much lower than usual, but most likely more accurate. This ensures your campaign performance data reflects genuine subscriber engagement.
Select the delivery server that will be used to send the email. Make sure your delivery server is properly configured for the best deliverability.
If a specific delivery server is selected, that server will be used to send emails. You can choose any combination of servers based on your needs.
By default, no specific server is selected for a new campaign; if left unselected, all available delivery servers will be used to send the email campaign. Additionally, when you copy a previous campaign, all settings, including the selected delivery server, are carried over.
The Previous Opened/Unopened Campaigns section is only visible when you are sending a new campaign to the same list used in any previous campaigns.
The Previous Opened/Unopened Campaigns feature allows you to take specific actions based on how recipients interacted with previous campaigns. This feature provides the ability to re-engage with contacts based on their previous behavior (whether they opened or didn’t open an earlier campaign).
Options:
Action:
Open: This option targets contacts who opened a previous campaign. You can choose to send a follow-up or a different message to those who showed interest by opening the previous email.
Unopen: This option targets contacts who didn’t open the previous campaign. You can use this to re-target or resend the campaign with adjustments to try and get them to engage.
Previous Campaign:
Select the previous campaign you want to reference. This is where the action (open or unopen) will be evaluated, and contacts who match the selected behavior will be targeted.
Example Usage:
If you ran a promotional campaign last week, and now you want to follow up with those who didn't open the email, you would select:
Action: Unopen
Previous Campaign: Promotional Campaign
By using this feature, you can ensure that your follow-up actions are more personalized and effective, engaging recipients based on their prior interaction with your emails.
Plain Text Email: Choose if you want to send the email in plain text.
Max Subscribers: Limit the number of subscribers the campaign will be sent to.
Randomize Subscribers: By default, subscribers are selected in the order they were uploaded to the list. Enabling this option will select subscribers randomly from the list, instead of following the sequential order.
Email Stats Delay (Days): This sets how many days to wait before sending the second email with campaign statistics. The first stats email is sent immediately after the campaign finishes sending.
Email Stats: Specify the email address where campaign statistics will be sent once the campaign is completed. Leave this field empty if you do not wish to receive the stats.
Preheader: A preheader is a short summary text that appears after the subject line when viewing an email in the inbox. It provides a preview of the email content and is commonly displayed by mobile, desktop, and web email clients to give recipients an idea of what the email contains before they open it.
Forward to Friend Subject: This is the subject line for the email that is sent when a subscriber forwards the campaign to a friend. If left empty, the default subject will be used: "Hey, check out this URL, I think you will like it."
Change Subscriber Custom Field upon Open: Modify subscriber information when they open your email.
Change Subscriber Custom Field upon Send: Update fields when the campaign is sent.
Actions against Subscribers upon Open: Trigger automated actions, like copy or moving subscribers to another list when they open the email.
Actions against Subscribers upon Sent: Trigger automated actions, like copy or moving subscribers to another list when the campaign is sent.
You can assign a name to the template for easy reference and reuse in future campaigns. It’s useful to give it a descriptive name based on the campaign's purpose (e.g., Weekly Newsletter Template).
Option: Yes/No
This option allows you to choose whether the template will be plain text only. Plain text emails don’t include any images or HTML formatting.
If set to No, the email will be sent as an HTML email, allowing for rich formatting, images, and other design elements.
Option: Yes/No
If this is set to Yes, SenderWiz will automatically generate a plain-text version of your HTML email. This is useful for recipients whose email clients do not support HTML emails, ensuring they still receive a readable version.
The Content Editor is the central workspace where you create and design the body of your email. This area allows you to directly type, paste, or format your email content. You can build your email from scratch or modify pre-existing templates by adding text, images, links, and other elements that align with your campaign's objectives.
Within the content editor, you can also utilize Available Tags for dynamic personalization, such as inserting the recipient's first name ([FNAME]) or other custom fields. This enhances engagement by making each email feel tailored to the individual recipient.
Alternatively, you can use the Change/Select Template button to switch to a pre-existing template, allowing you to quickly reuse or customize saved designs for your campaign.
By checking the Rotation option below to the Template Name field, SenderWiz will rotate the content for different recipients. This makes each email unique, helping with deliverability and reducing the chances of being flagged as spam.
Import HTML from URL: Import content directly from a web page.
Upload Template: Allows you to upload an HTML template that you have already created. The system only accepts a ZIP file that contains both the HTML file and the associated images for the template.
Change/Select Template: Switch to another pre-made template or a previously saved template.
Test Template: Send a test email to see how it looks before sending it to your whole list.
UTM Tags: Add UTM parameters to track the performance of the links in your email for analytics.
Show Plain Text Version: Display the plain text version of your email.
Random Content: Allows you to insert random content based on your rotation rules.
Save Content: Save your current email design and content for later use.
Send At: Set the exact date and time for the campaign to be sent.
Advanced Recurring: If enabled, you can schedule the campaign to recur at regular intervals.
Day of Week: Choose the days the campaign will be sent (e.g., Monday through Friday).
Start and Stop Times: Set the daily time range when emails will be sent (e.g., start at 9:00 AM and stop at 5:00 PM).
Campaign Summary: Review your campaign settings, including:
