Rotation Feature Guide
The Rotation Feature in our email campaign application is designed to enhance personalization and improve deliverability by rotating the "From name", "From email address", "Subject line", and "Email templates".
This feature allows each recipient to experience unique variations in the email content, mimicking a one-to-one email, which can reduce the likelihood of emails being flagged as spam.
From Name: Select a list of sender names to rotate, alternating names for each email.
From Email: Choose a list of email addresses usernames to rotate, varying the sender's identity.
In the "From Email" rotation, you can select the list of usernames for the "From email", while the @yourdomain.com portion will be automatically picked up from the selected delivery servers.
How to Enable Rotation:
In Campaign Setup, check the Rotation box next to each field.
Select the desired rotation lists for "From Name" and/or "From Email."
Enabling Rotation:
Accessing the Rotation List:
Setting Up a Rotation List:
Go to View Name & Username Rotation Lists to create a new list.
Upload pairs of names and usernames (e.g., "John Doe - john.doe," "Jane Smith - j.smith02").
Synchronized Rotation:
When both "From Name" and "From Email" checkboxes are enabled, the same list will be used in both dropdowns. Selecting a list for one field automatically updates the other.
Why? This ensures that the name and email address match (e.g., "John Doe" is always paired with "john@yourdomain.com"), creating a consistent sender identity.
Example of How It Works:
With a list named "United States New," emails might rotate as:
1st Email: From Name - John Doe, From Email - john.doe@yourdomain.com
2nd Email: From Name - Jane Smith, From Email - j.smith02@yourdomain.com
And so on…
Here is an example of a CSV file format for uploading Name and Username data:
This setup creates unique combinations for each recipient while ensuring the sender's name and email remain consistent. By enabling rotation, your campaign will automatically use different "From" names and emails with each email sent.
You can upload as much data as you need to your rotation list for rotating names and usernames.
To further personalize and improve engagement, you can rotate subject lines within a single campaign. Different subject lines help to capture attention from recipients and avoid uniformity, which may trigger spam filters.
Under the Campaign Setup section, select your Subject Line Rotation list. Enable the Rotation checkbox next to the subject line field.
In Campaign Setup:
In the Campaign Setup section, you’ll find an option for Subject Line Rotation.
Enable the Rotation checkbox to activate this feature, allowing each email to use a different subject line from your list.
Click on the [Subject line list] link to access or create a list of subject lines that will be rotated through the campaign.
Creating and Managing Subject Line Lists:
Clicking [Subject line list] opens the View Subject Line Lists page (as shown in the second image).
Here, you can Create New lists and upload as many subject lines as you want, providing a variety for your campaign.
Each subject line in the list will be used in rotation, adding diversity to your email subject lines.
Here is an example of a CSV file format for uploading subject line data:
With rotation enabled, each recipient will receive the email with a unique subject line, creating a more personalized experience.
The email template rotation feature allows you to create varied layouts, styles, and messages within a campaign, adding unique touches to each email sent.
This variation reduces the likelihood of your emails being flagged as repetitive or spam by ESPs, which helps improve deliverability. By making each email distinct, you keep content fresh and engaging, enhancing the chances of reaching your recipients' inboxes.
Ultimately, this feature boosts both the visibility and effectiveness of your campaigns through subtle, impactful variations.
Navigate to the Campaign Template section.
Enable the Rotation checkbox next to the template field.
Choose a Template Rotation Category from the drop down, containing various templates.
When creating an email template, you can assign it to a specific category. This same category can then be selected during the rotation feature, allowing all templates within that category to be rotated accordinglydi
This will ensure that each email sent within the campaign can use a different template, improving engagement.
In the Dashboard:
Go to View Name & Username Rotation Lists to see the available rotation lists for "From name" and from "email addresses usernames". Here, you can view existing lists, create new ones, or edit current entries.
Similarly, check the View Subject Line Lists to manage your subject line rotations.
Creating and customizing rotation lists helps keep your campaigns varied and personalized for better engagement and deliverability.
